Iowa had a much better offense and QB in 04 with Drew Tate. The offense they have now is very conservative (like an old Les Miles offense) and Jake Rudock isn't going to scare anyone.

You mean that offense where we were down to our sixth string RB who was a walk-on that ran for 227 yards (our leading rusher)?

That offense?

I agree Jake isn't striking fear into defenses, but he's one hell of a game manager.

I watched two Iowa games this year against Mich St and Wiskey and they looked like total shite on offense. If I remember correctly they didn't get a 1st down against MSU until like 3:00 left in the 2nd quarter.

Iowa's D is good, but those big corn fed white boys will look like they are in quick sand chasing the likes of Landry, Beckham, Hill, Blue etc.

I expect LSU to rally around Jennings and use that as motivation and focus preparing. Miles is great out of conference.

Honestly, how well do y'all think we'll travel for this game?

Not very well, but I think that we'll have more fans in Tampa than we did at the CFA Bowl last year. LSU is already sending out emails advertising tickets for sale. That must mean that there weren't enough season ticket holder requests to buy all of the tickets we were allotted by the Outback Bowl. If I had to guess, I think we'll have about 12-15K fans there. Iowa will outnumber us like they did at the 2005 Capital One Bowl. The crappy thing for LSU is that if we travel poorly yet again, we could get a bad rep like we did for a while in the past.

Awful opponent and a shitty venue. Definitely not making the trip for this game. Will enjoy it on TV and be happy I saved myself some money.

I've always thought Raymond James was a pretty good facility. Been to a few concerts there and enjoyed it.

They're second in Legends and coached by Ferentz. Look at their schedule. Tigers will take care of business but don't expect a cakewalk. Nor would we want one. Payback time.

I was told that LSU didn't have enough requests to sell out their allotment to any of the possible bowls with the exception of the Sugar.

That doesn't surprise me. I think that the 2011 Cotton Bowl was the only time in recent memory where we sold out our allotment of tickets to a bowl that wasn't in Louisiana.

Excited to go. I'm taking three.

How many tix did LSU pre-sale? We need a good fan showing - if we want bowls to want us in the future.

LSU fans won't show up and then they'll bitch when bowls pass us over next year.
