LSU's 18 early entries to the NFL draft for 2013-14 are 10 more than any other school has ever had in a 2-year span.

is there a list of the 18? because i know a good portion of it is RS juniors, and even a senior who was granted a 5th year of remedial hardship.

Seems people expect good players not just to stick around for 4 but 5 years.

So Bama, Florida, UGA, Oregon, Stanford, USC, Florida State, the entire Big 12, and the entire Big 10 don't have anywhere near the same amount of guys that have been at their schools for four years and are capable of being drafted?

There is clearly a problem at LSU. Its not a problem that they leave (hope they make tens of millions), its a program issue that so many want to leave here compared to everywhere else in the country.

And if we're so blessed with unbelievable underclassmen talent that apparently no other team can match, then I want a detailed explanation as to why its ok we've lost 6 games over two years with this talent since its so far above any of our competitors and entire major conferences.

Obviously, this red shirting business is new to college football, and LSU is the only major school to use this new idea.

Apparently kids everywhere else in the country are capable of passing this money up at a higher percentage than the LSU kids are.

Why is that?

Agreed, but

if you red shirt then you do not play in a game that first year...Zip nadda prime time...Most don't start that next year, they get limited playing time... So it's that 3rd year they begin to Start...

Most of these guys had one great year of starting and so yeah, it feels short and I would think some of these guys would enjoy being the man another year...

several of these LSU players are already out of the NFL...

Looking back, they lost that last year to graduate and play on National TV every weekend... so yes, they left early..

Ware and Ford didn't even start the year they left, and both made the NFL, which is nuts.

Minter had one awesome year and boom he's gone...The country was just starting to learn who he was...

It speaks to the great Talent at LSU, but also that we are off balance a little because another year and LSU would dominate...We seem to be a B average play when we need A with senior leadership
