Tyler Shelvin, 4-star DL: “It kind of hurt me. I really wanted to play under him. I heard (about Orgeron) and, if it goes good, they’ll extend his contract for head coach.”
Has someone of high authority told him this? Does this have any backing to it at all?

Speculation I bet. I have heard that Ed wanted assurance that if he does well he will get fair consideration for the job.

As he should be. Go 7-1 and he should be given a fair chance and bring in an OC

Recruits start having doubts when you destroy program continuity. Should have kept Miles until the end of the year.

Miles should have fixed his offense and discipline!

Geez, you can't be this dumb. He HAD to go. We still have a shot at winning the SEC West.

How would waiting have made things any better? It's way better to let the recruits process this now, and then have five or six months to shore them back up. You fire your coach six or eight weeks before signing day, it's chaos.

No, you don't. There is no shot.

Technically there is, whether it's realistic or not is another thing.

If you think this team doesn't have the talent to win the West you are crazy. This team, if they come together as a team, can win the rest of the games. It won't be easy by no means, but talent wise this team is loaded.

The "we have the best talent" argument is lame. If you had the level of talent you say you have, you would have smeared Auburn, weak coaching or not. You have no offensive line and no quarterback, and you can't win without them.

I didn't say we were the most talented team. I said we were talented. We will all see how this team responds Saturday night.
