Used to wring my hands about games, which was stupid and unhealthy

Used to hate a kids deal or family engagement getting in the way of a game.

Not so much now. I can be at a function and just casually watch and not get too worked up.

Thanks Miles. Maybe you are just teaching us all a lesson!

Same for recruiting, just get us 11 out there in Fall Saturday's and let em run around, it will be entertainment. And that is what is all about!

Your post reads like my mom's texts. And English is her second language.

There is a bit of truth to this statement. I found myself actually laughing a bit at the Arkansas game...And the saints game.

After Alabama the championship talk was done anyway.

Don't get me wrong though I love my tigers, I just won't stress anymore. I will always watch, even to the bitter end.

Now I can hunt all weekend and not be concerned with making the game or whatever. I'll just listen on the radio from here on out.

1. Enrish do you type it?
2. In the word's of General George Patton
quote:

“I don’t fear failure. I only fear the slowing up of the engine inside of me which is saying, ‘Keep going, someone must be on top, why not you?”

So apathy hurts worse than failure.

Well, I didn't laugh at the game, but I am stress free now.

Will always watch, will still get upset, but anger will be gone.

A cleansing.

A big loss used to ruin my mood for the next couple months esp at work. Being born in Washington (saints fan too fwiw) I realized at the end of last year's super bowl that I wasn't as upset as I'd expected because it was an LSU type of loss that I've been trained to deal with, esp after the game when Pete Carrol said they never run into a loaded front that's why they passed; which is a joke because Seattle and LSU would normally run into loaded fronts from the 1 yard line all the time. My first thought was I could see coach Miles in a post game presser giving a "so what had happened..." Line that is ridiculous like that.

I've felt this way for a few years now. I still love to watch and always am hoping for the best, but I have much more important life events happening to worry about the result of a Les Miles' coached football game. It's definitely a combination of getting older and being out of college, but the way we play doesn't help.
