In 2014, the Bayou Bengals will WIN the S.E.C.! AJ will prove the real deal. LF will be among the best ever even in his freshman year. The old LSU "D" returns WITH A FURY! FG kicker great with special teams as good as 2011 ... Book it!

But I'm not buying into the defense. I think it will be scrappy and opportunistic, but I expect to be somewhat weak at DT with second year players getting most of the minutes. We can have an elite D only if three of Heron, Bain, Gilmore, and LaCouture are top echelon SEC DTs by next fall. Right now none of them are. It's safe to assume LaCouture is farthest along. He is not quite holding his own in there, but he looks like he'll be ready for next year if he keeps improving. That leaves us needing two of Heron, Gilmore, and Bain. They were all highly recruited, so I'm hoping. In 2015, though, OMG!
