Coached defenses gave up 45 to Cal, 59 to Florida (that only scored 24 on LSU) and 41 to Alabama. I am not suggesting anything about Steele, only stating that you can't look at a coach's worst performance to judge future outcome. Give the guy a chance and let's see how it works out. As long as he doesn't use a "drop linebacker" we should be fine.

In 2014 he gave up 38 in the first half to AU. What's your point?

I don't care about outliers, shite happens. That goes for Steele and Chavis and any others.

Steele's resume is fricking horrible. His two stinks as DC he was fired. He has no success. It's a lot different than idiots saying, "Pete Carroll, Bill Belichick were fired in the NFL before... rabble rabble rabble."

Steele has no resume to back him being hired as DC at LSU. None.

38-0 at the half to Auburn seems reminiscent of those 2007 scores that were posted( for starters).

Let's not even start on all the huge games he blew on the last minute drives...

Consider who did the hiring. That should explain everything.

Steele's CLemson team allowed 70 to WVU.

Chavis let that same Clemson team get 32 first downs, 445 yards of offense, and drive the field in the last two minutes to win the game against him.

Steele held Mett, Beckham, and Landry to 120 yards in the air.

Just saying.

being number 3 (if I believe what you say and I don't) ain't shite if you give up the points he did in those games. and lost those games. this ranking shite is a terrible way to judge. chavis having he best defense in the SEC this year is a joke. our D was soft as shite up the middle and we got slaughtered by MSU and Auburn. hell, Whisky had us if they would have kept running their RB (and right up the middle).

Not true at all. He wasn't fired from
Bama and 2/3 years at Clemson he had great defenses.
