Hell, it's only about 90 minutes from my house. But for chrissake, it's not like I don't already know what our offense is going to look like.

I would love to believe that after a month of extra time, I'll go see the beginning of good things to come going into next year. Instead, I suspect that even if we win, I'm going to walk away having seen a heaping pile of shite on offense.

This is going to be a long off-season because anyone who is being honest with themselves has to admit there is very little actual reason to be optimistic that our offense wont be catastrophic again next year. It isn't as if we showed growth this year AT ALL!

Any hope for next year's offense rest solely in our imaginations. There is nothing in the way of actual evidence to support it. And that's sad because at least early, both JJ and JL gave the appearance of people who could be developed.

This year? Nah. AJ is done and we are left to hope that BH is the real deal. If BH isn't, LSU is completely screwed on offense.

This. It's not like I want Oregon's spread or TAMU's air raid or anything like that. Is it too much to ask for something like USC's offense or Bama's offensive play calling?

2000-2007 LSU football was great to watch. Since, the QB play has been so bad (with the exception of one year 2011) that it really hasn't been all that fun to watch.

QB play was bad in 11 too. Last year (2013) the QB play was good. But it took an NFL starter to make it happen.

Their D sucks too...;however, some of their injuries will be healed.
so it is a relatively bad Off vs a relatively mediocre Def.

..with 4 losses, what else can you expect, at least is a BIG NAME rival.

nah, LSU should be able to run pretty effectively against ND so the offense should move quite well

it won't be passing or anything sexy, but seeing 5 yards a carry while moving down the field isn't a "heaping pile of shite on offense"

Have some faith man. It's just as easy to choose to be optimistic as it is to sound like a pessimistic, miserable old bastard. I'm sure you "hope you're wrong" and all that, but that isn't the same as having a little blind faith in this team's ability to improve. Try it out, you'll feel better.

Or how about an offense where the FB isn't on the field for 80+% of your offensive snaps.

It's a dying position in the NFL and yet we run a pro-style offense.

I hope we win. I hope we see enough adjustment on offense to believe the 2015 Tiger offense will be different from the 2014 model. That's why I'm watching.

What exactly did you find exciting about the 2000, 2002 and 2004 offenses? 2000 = Josh Booty with a similar completion percentage to AJ, 2002=offense that had less yards passing and rushing than this year, 2004 was virtually a mirror image of this year, rushing and passing.

I'm excited because my father in law is a ND fan. Enough reason for me.

This! If I can get 4 more hours of LSU football before it's over for 9 months, I'm going to get it. Booked my room yesterday.

See, I don't mind a fullback. But, why not use one like Bama uses one or Green Bay? You know....a guy who can actually run AND catch in addition to blocking. Pretty much a shorter tight end.

Melvin Jones kind of fits the bill.

I'm excited for it and have already bought my tickets.

Come on guys! LSU is 8-4 not 4-8. I am just as frustrated with our lack of QB development and stale offense too, but we have a winning football team to pull for. I don't subscribe to the championship or bust mentality many have here. Championships are the goal, but a season is not lost if you don't win a championship. At a minimum, you may get to see LF break a thousand yards.

2000-------See Rohan Davey and the UT game. Pretty fricking exciting. ALso, the GT game was awesome too. There were flashes of potential. 2014 had exactly ZERO flashes of future potential.

2002-------This offense was coming into its own before injury to Mauck. (36-7 over UF) I don't recall an injury this year for 2014 to excuse this shite.

2004-------Not even close to the same as this year. Randall and JR made their mistakes, but they still had some good games. They threw for 201.8 per game as opposed to 163.9 per game in a much less "offensive" era than 10 years later today.

You poor baby. That mean old LSU is making your life miserable because they don't run the offense you want them to!
