I think that with Gausman ending the first game after the weather cancellation we were all sky high. But the loss that next day made me wary.

I felt the same way last night but damn I though we would have more fight in us than it seems we do.

All in all, this is way more disappointing in my view.

Stony Brook could hit, but they had no pitching. These guys from Houston can pitch.

this is a little more disappointing since we were up 4 runs and just needed what, six more outs?

We could have had an epic LSU-Texas matchup.

i am living in austin right now with some UT students. glad I didn't talk shite

They were tougher mentally than us, that's disappointing.

Honestly, this seems much more like the UC Irvine Super Regional, except we were on the other end.

Won game 1. It was never really close. (Yes, the hidden ball trick ended a possible rally).

Game 2, leading most of the game. It looked like LSU was done. Then we have a miracle finish and they just fall apart the rest of the way.

Great analogy....definitely eerie similarities between UCI and this series.

I guess what goes around comes around.....frick this sucks.

PM deserves every ounce of criticism headed his way on this one. He single-handedly handed away this regional on Sunday night IMO. Had a chance to redeem himself today by getting his team over the hangover he himself created, and he failed at that as well. Paul has done good things at LSU, but he better get ready for some heat because it's coming.

as much as this sucks, I think I was more dissapointed by the stony brook fisaco...I just don't think the talent disparity was nearly as big this year as it was when we got beat by stony brook...

PM is not a motivator. It seems that when his teams get punched, they quit. These kids quit after the 3rd inning.

So of 3 shitty endings, you rank them in order of preference:

1. Choke job/skull fricking vs Houston in regional
2. 2 and BBQ in CWS
3. Losing super regional to unknown 4 seed

Not going to rank them, just gonna say that it shows a bad pattern developing.

Yeah, and Stony got trashed by UCLA in CWS the next game I believe? Will be interesting I guess how UH does; win it all? What would rant say then?
