We aren't going to lose much on Friday or Saturday with the starters, and if one of the youngins can start on Sunday we're gonna have a very good record.

The field should be awesome on defense and lots of speed in the outfield. God I'm ready.

Can anyone chime in on who was the last legit Sunday starter we had?

Aaron Nola his freshman year? Or was Eades the Sunday guy? Either is obviously more legit than any we've had in the last few years.

Nola was Sunday and had that ridiculous K/BB as a freshman.

ETA: Nola actually replaced McCune as the Sunday guy at the start of SEC play, Mainieri then swapped him and Eades late in the season.

Also, Cody Glenn was a solid Sunday guy in 2013... until he got suspended for the regional.

I'm sure we will have a great regular season record and sec trny, and regionals and possibly supers. It is once getting to Omaha where we have been stalling big-time.

+1

Hopefully, the season won't end with yet another disappointment as has been the case of late.

This team will be very good but the SEV has several loaded teams. It's going to be a fun ride for sure

I've had season tickets since '91, and besides the 90's and the late 2000's; this is easily the most excited I've been. We've got two of the most dominant pitchers in the nation, and after watching Krob staying in the game last season with a fricking walrus looking lip; he's proven his dedication.

As noted, the SEC is loaded again, 4 teams in the top 6 in one poll, with several others in the top 15. Can do nothing but prepare us for the playoffs, but having to play so many hard teams, some on the road, LSU's standings in the polls may suffer a bit. Will be interesting to see what if any effect AC's going to Moo St. does to our hitting.

I am quite scared of this. I think Andy had a lot to do with our offensive production. Considering pitching was gonna be how we won games last year due to lack of batting, and we winded up being I think 2nd in BA and other assorted offensive categories.

The talent is there, the only question is whether Marinara can put it all together.

Did Eades have the job all year? I just can't remember a consistent 3rd starter in a while.

LSU baseball will be exciting. I hope the Tigers might a strong push for a national seed and a deep run in Omaha this year.

Me too. I love working outside on a pretty spring day listening to the game. Omaha is the expectation every year. I'm ready for a better performance once we get there.
