it's impossible. there is so much pressure on O that he cannot afford to lose a game because he started a freshman. at least half of the fan base would go ballistic.

love danny. he is giving his all for the purple and gold. but it is obvious he just cannot come thru in the clutch. very disappointed that he can't handle the big pressure. or at least hasn't to this point. the one big clutch play and series I can remember is last year's game at auburn, and that play was taken away by the clock.

maybe he can get payback this year.

If we drop another game to say Auburn this weekend I think we will play towards the future but at this point our coaches are playing who they think gives us the best chance to win the game.

Well, they are going to go ballistic if he loses with Etling too, so what's the difference.

Why would coaches do this to the seniors and other players that are playing their last year of college ball? Coaches are going to put who they think will give them the best chance to win.

Did you forget the winning TD pass with one second left to win Auburn game last year ..... pretty clutch if you ask me.....but Commissioner Stanky's ref said no human can hike ball with one second left .... except the Bama offense I'm sure can do it with Stanky's approval

So that means play a shite QB this year causing a shite year. Now next year Brennan really wouldn't have SEC game experience and we will be back to square one again.

The biggest issue with playing Brennan right now is that he's only been on the team for like 8 weeks and Canada would not be able to run his whole offense.

Etling will play better this weekend. Canada has had other fish to fry, but will be in his hip pocket every day to coach him up this week.

Performing under pressure is perhaps where Etling excels. There was the Auburn game last year and also a number of 3rd and 4th down throws on the last drive of 2016 UF game that were pretty clutch. His performance versus Bama last year was the only game we've lost where he didn't play as well as the team needed.

i'd love to be able to agree with you. I don't mean to say that he never makes a play but just not the real clutch stuff. I can think of some big 3rd down plays but just not enough.

man, he was coming apart in the 2d half Saturday. he didn't turn it over, but we couldn't make a first down. of course, we should've let him throw some short passes and screens and shovels on first down, but we didn't.

I don't want to come across as overly critical. I think he is doing his best.

Brennan has potential to improve. Etling is at his best already. Neither are going to be great QBs this year. Just won't happen. I really don't care who plays but it doesn't look like Brennan will start unless Etling is injured.

I don't want Brennan to start just yet, but I would like O to give him some playing time in order to avoid next season with a badly inexperienced backfield.

In instances where Brennan was put on the field in important moments, he's thrown 2 bad interceptions this season. The Rant keeps insisting on playing Brennan but is bloodthirsty after every loss. Don't think you can have it both ways.

Given the on-field performance of both, sure seems like DE gives LSU the best chance to win. No doubt MB has a higher upside and better physical tools... but he needs to spend a lot of time getting used to college speed and learning to make better reads.

Edited to say that it sure seems like the successful freshmen QBs are running QBs. MB is not that. If anything... people should be talking about Narcisse getting PT.

This isn't directed solely at you, but to all your fellow jackasses as well. I'm getting damned sick and tired of all of YOUR shite posts about players.

Assuming you're even capable of holding a job...questionable at best..., how would you like it if some idiot co-workers, customers, bosses, etc., were constantly looking over your shoulders, calling you shite at every opportunity and criticizing every thing you do?

When the holy f*** did you even try to do what he does? When and how in the holy f*** did you ever convince yourself you're qualified to call anyone else shite?

F******, shiteheaded idiots!!! You must lead miserable, pathetic little lives if you have to get your rocks off by criticizing others.
