I'd take Musselman in a heartbeat the question is will he come? Glenn guilbeau was on tiger rag radio Thursday and he said that's who he believes will get the job.

Musselman would be a good choice. Other solid hires would include Tim Jankovich of SMU, Steve Prohm of Iowa State, Archie Miller of Dayton and Scott Drew of Baylor.

I think that Prohm may be the only realistic candidate out of these four.

I like your list I just don't see any of those guys coming here. I don't know why the board is so opposed to Stansbury but I think he and Musselman are the two realistic and best choices for us.

Thanks, you may well be correct.

I did mean to throw out another name to consider, Larry Krystkowiak, now at Utah. He has been a winner on the collegiate level and has turned Utah around.

why not just hire collis temple already, sick of him and his behind the scenes nonsense, lets hire him, let him fail and get him out of this program already.

You should really look up Jank's record at Illinois State before leaving there on his own to be Larry Browns successor.

This is year two of him taking SMU into obscurity.

Musselman has stayed in one spot for 4 years. Everywhere else has been 2 years or less. We need someone who is going to come here and rebuild the program from the ground up. And I'd prefer to not hire former assistants or anyone associated with prior LSU teams. Regardless of it he was here for one year. We need to completely clean house.

It would come off as extremely lazy again by Alleva to just hire a former assistant.

Isn't that why we hired Johnny? Johnny made the program so bad Collis doesn't even want it anymore.

I dont care care if hes a former assistant. Musselman is not my choice.

Unless you choose an lsu grad, who wants this job? you will have to pay extemely well to get the best "up and coming" to go to this low end state for academics making recruiting complicated , deflated locker room and football is #1, and culture is not appealing to the wife. Its a stepping stone job right now unless you are from louisiana.

If you went after Jank you would be in a worse position than currently. He can't coach for shite. In his 5 years at Illinois State I never saw him draw up an inbounds play. Rode the backs of prior coaches recruits to a bloated record against awful schedules.

Chris Collins, even though there is no chance in hell he will take this job, he is who I want here.
