In spite of the shite sandwich of an offense on display Saturday, had won, would Les still on the hot seat? Sadly, I don't think so. I believe the sunshine pumpers would have rolled out the usual excuses...such as:
1. It was a long trip.
2. The team was too excited to execute well being at Lambeau field and all
3. We beat a good team on the road so stop bitching about the offense.
4. Les won yet another game against an unranked team.
5. It was the first game.
6. Maybe it's Cam, not Les etc etc.

In a sad way, we needed this loss to highlight what the rest of the rant has known for awhile. Les has to go. A pretty unified rant, now that is a scary thought.

The season would have been like the last 10. Winning despite Miles.

Better to take the heat and see the glaring changes needed now rather than being blindsided and dominated in November thinking everything is fine

Still going to happen with this staff but at least the fanbase is a lot more prepared for it this year

I had already accepted that even if we had won, this team's performance was not of a Top 25 team and we would go on to lose several games. That game performance was pathetic. We really didn't deserve to win & were lucky we didn't lose by several touchdowns to an unranked team. The OL is not going to be able to open any holes, Harris STILL can't make a 10 yard throw & has no pocket presence, etc.

In all fairness, we have the experience and talent that this SHOULD happen in a game vs Wisconsin.

Ironically, we lost to a top 10 team. If we had beaten them, we would have just beaten an unranked team. That's how stupid rankings are. The teams are exact same today as they were 5 days ago. LSU adding a field goal late in the game wouldn't have changed anything about the teams, but somehow the rankings would be drastically different.

It might have been like last year when Moo St missed the 2nd FG try and we went through the schedule unscathed until Nov.; possibly different mindset with the W, but still like lipstick on a pig the late Hoakie used to say. Rub away the lipstick and your still left with an ugly pig!

Don't forget "we won just be happy" bc they can't see the problems with winning ugly...a win is a win to those morons

The pumpers would have been out in full force but any reasonable fan would see we still looked like shite and still be pissed

Fo sho. When LSU loses it's Miles' fault.
When they win it is in spite of Miles.

The sad part is that you snowflakes don't understand the total idiocy of that stance. Ignorance is indeed bliss I suppose.

They're only top 10 because we made them look like a top 10 team. They will lose 3-4 games this year. They are Arkansas last year without a QB.

Yea, that line of thinking is so simplistic. These people can't look beyond two numbers on the scoreboard.

Yes, winning is the ultimate goal, but there's a lot of info to be considered from a team's performance, whether they win or lose. And that info gives us much better insight into the quality of a team, rather than a simple scoreboard, which can be misleading.
