Does that hurt our chances of getting other recruits like Ben Simmons? If he is drafted top 3-5 will it matter?

He's been the #1 2016 draft pick already for the past year or two

It won't matter LSU won't get a recruit like this again regardless. About once every 6 years the basketball team does something exciting.

We were lucky to get Simmons. LSU isn't a basketball school.

If we don't go dancing then CJJ better have a Greyhound ticket out of BR the next day.

I know there are a lot of overreactions on this board, but if CJJ doesn't get this team into the tourney he really has to go. I don't think that's unreasonable.

Weve had a few players that are even in Bens world over the past 50 or 60 years, Pistol Pete, Bob Pettit, and Shaq. Think about it. It happens about once every 20 or 30 years...

If his godfather wasn't a coach at LSU, he would've ended up at Duke. It was luck that brought Ben to LSU.

If you heard his interviews he wanted to stay away from a big program with too much pressure. So doubt he would have wanted to go to Duke.

Nah... he's an LSU guy so even with very mediocre results on the court, they'll give him at least a couple of more years...

It will hurt because the recruits and parents will recognize the lack of coaching we have. If most haven't already. Jones gets bashed on Twitter all the time for his coaching abilities.
