Because we have a known winner vs a complete unknown. If we don't get Jimbo, it's a complete roll of the dice.

Known winners are not barely above .500 in conference in recent years.

Do we want to lose? We are already there!

If we cant get a top tier coach? Les is no longer a tip tier coach.

Keep les and get a top tier oc? We already have a top tier oc! No oc will be worth his salt if he has to run an offense with les's finger prints all over it.

We have lost three in a row and the sky is falling. Yes, that is bad but I am guessing you are wanting worse. The fall out will be great. The recruiting class will go to crap and then the possibility is that we lose twice as many games next year.

Well if you think about it.. they aren't getting rid of him to pay all that buyout for an unproven IMO..

Just an opinion. I believe they had their guy all along.

It would be a complete travesty for Lsu hire a guy with a 57% career winning percentage and occasional win over a rival, wouldn't it?

That's why we couldn't keep Chavis

I don't know why you'd deserve a downvote. LSU fans don't care to see the truth, but, Chavis bolted because he could see that Coach Miles's methods were failing. Chavis foresaw this, because, Miles's methods have failed less than a year after Chavis bolted.

These one hit wonder coaches are a huge risk...Herman, etc.

So, football is a business and most businesses are risky.

Also, Miles was a risk when he was hired.

This is not a good staff. Have you been watching the games?

and great recruiting class for that, not worth it.

The string of great recruiting classes, an art and science that DiNardo began and Saban expanded and refined, will continue because of the brand and gateway to the NFL that LSU has become. Keeping Miles at this point actually jeopardizes the brand, which is why high school athletes ultimately commit.

go get a top OC.

Who's going to do this? Miles record shows he is either incapable of this or stymies the OCs once they are here.

Keep Miles

Do you know the old sayings?:

You can't teach a dog new tricks.

Don't throw good money after bad.

Doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results is the definition of insanity.

All the above wisdom and more apply to Miles as HC at LSU.

So, no, keeping him denies LSU a chance at excellence. 11 years is a privilege Miles has enjoyed; it's not a right granted to him as some positigers seem to be assuming.
