Bama would have beaten the Gamecocks. Why? because Miles would have pounded the ball with his two great running backs (one who has a Heisman) and would have worn the Gamecocks out and controlled the clock. Also, a Miles' team would not have botched a fake field goal so badly.

I love what Spurrier said about this.

Something along the lines of "I guess Alabama is a passing team."

Love me some Spurrier.

If Saban coached LSU this year we would have lost to Florida because Saban would have lost his freaking temper by the third quarter and panic would have overwhelmed our players.

I agree, but it would have been because the fake field goal would have worked. The pass would have bounced off the receiver's hands up in the air back to the kicker who would have run the other direction and scored the touchdown to tie it.

Look, Saban is a brilliant college coach. No doubt about it.

But anyone who watched Saban's LSU teams knows that game day coaching is not his forte.

Why he decided to have his QB win the game for him instead of his tailbacks, will be answered when we can explain how in three separate LSU games, Saban allowed opponents to toss Hail Mary's to win the game in the final seconds against LSU.

And you gotta love how nonchalant he is when saying it too.

The difference between the 2 fake fg's was that Bama's didn't have a chance even if executed correctly and ours worked and it wasn't executed correctly.

I agree Bama would've won, but not for the reasons you might think.

He would have sacrificed virgins, chickens and put a hex on Spurrier and landed him in the hospital. That would've done it.

And I guess he probably would have had a Garcia doll made and had someone poking pins into it.

Damn lucky bastard!

Swampy, "lucky" is the media mantra. Don't foolishly buy into it. Bama began believing the media and are in shock today when everyone else in the SEC knew that Bama isn't as good as their record and stats have indicated.
