Likely Scenario
We beat Georgia
We beat Alabama
Play UGA again in SEC Champ game
Play Alabama in MNC game.

Unless UF beats them and there is a 3 way tie, but I find that unlikely

It worked out well for us the last time we beat UGA in the regular season and they got a rematch in the SECCG.

For the record, the same could be true for us. Lose to UGA Saturday, win out from there, then play them again in the SECCG.
Soooooo, rematches aren't always bad...

Well who are the likely SECE Champs? GA-FLA-USCe. If LSU wins the SECW they would likely face a rematch with GA or FLA after facing GA, FLA, ALA, aTm. Thats why many have been complaining about a schedule that heavily favors Alabama. And if ALA and aTm (i would figure aTm to have 2 losses though) continue to get the love from national media then there could be another rematch with one or the other for the National Title (maybe LSU in rematch spot vs aTm). Although Oregon and Ohio St may beat out the one loss teams. But hey at least the SEC maintained the ALA/TEN game that makes for good television.

Can anyone think of anytime in Div 1 college football where 2 teams have met twice in the same season and one of the teams won both games? I can only think of it happening one time and that was 2003 when LSU beat Ga twice.

If we win Saturday and they win the east they will have earned a rematch. Unlike the other team.

Some:
• UCLA vs. Michigan
Sept. 25, 1982: No. 12 UCLA 31, No. 20 Michigan 27
Jan 1., 1983: No. 5 UCLA 24, No. 19 Michigan 14 (Rose)
• Michigan State vs. Southern Cal
Sept. 7, 1987: Michigan St. 27, No. 19 Southern Cal 13
Jan. 1, 1988: No. 8 Michigan St. 20, No. 16 Southern Cal 17 (Rose)
• Toledo vs. Nevada
Sept. 23, 1995: Toledo 49, Nevada 35
Dec. 14, 1995: No. 25 Toledo 40, Nevada 37, OT (Las Vegas)
Also, Georgia Tech beat Clemson twice in 2009 (regular season. ACC championship)
Finally, as of the 2011 NC game, there had been 41 rematches in recorded CFB history. The loser of the first game was 21-20 in those rematches, indicating that the same team won both games on twenty occassions.
