This is just my opinion of who we should, of course. But here's mine, in order:

Undefeated
1 Stanford. If they beat Oregon they should move up. They will have the top QB in Luck, and I think the Pac 10 historically has fared better in the BCS games than the Big 12. Look for the voters to do something to make it happen

2 Oklahoma St. If both Stanford and OSU are undefeated, I would look for some odd poll maneuvers to get Stanford in, but otherwise OSU is a clear choice. You have the coaches connection between Miles and OSU too.

3 Boise St. If they are undefeated and no one else is, give them their shot.

4 Houston- no shot in hell. Sorry guys, too bad the Big 12 didn't want you then or now.

1 loss teams

1 Oklahoma- were ranked #1 awhile, and would be Big 12 conference champs. If there aren't any legit undefeateds, they will have knocked off Oklahoma St in a playoff-type game to get in.

2 Clemson- yes, Clemson here. would be 12-1 and ACC champs. If the football world melts down (this would require Boise to lose, Okla to lose before the OSU game but still beat the Cowboys, and Oregon to beat Stanford), then IN MY OPINION Clemson deserves to be the choice ahead of the next 3 teams

had your chance and blew it teams

1 Alabama- excellent team. But you played LSU at home with all the marbles on the line, and you lost. Do you really deserve to slide back up and get a bye into the big game while LSU has to beat Georgia? Sorry, someone else gets to play
&
1a Oregon- another excellent team. And your loss was at a neutral site, not at home; maybe if you had kept it closer like Bama did. Again, you played us and lost already.

3 Penn St- 12-1 and winning the Big 10 would seem to be worthy enough, but Alabama went up and whipped you. That, and the Big 10 is down this year and hasn't been a factor in the BCS games anyway

That's my ranking of potential BCS Championship opponents, and how I think it will play out. There is enough transparency in the computer rankings to allow for the polls to make the necessary moves. Expect Alabama to drop down in a week or so, once people start seeing the potential matchups. Really, who outside the state of Alabama wants to see a repeat of this weekend's game, if there are other teams with comparable records who haven't got their chance at us? Who outside the SEC wants an all-SEC championship?

A 13-0 Stanford will move ahead of a 12-0 Okla State. By not having a championship will hurt OS.....

Stanford will play LSU if both win out......

Honestly i would love to play Boise St. Not that i think they deserve it, but if we play then Not only will LSU win a CHampionship, but Boise will have to STFU once and for all.

I think OSu has the better chance of running the table than Stanford. I think Oregon is better than Oklahoma, and has a better chance of beating Stanford.

eh, my opinoin is beating OU in your last regular season game is greater than beating UCLA in a crappy championship game.

Incorrect.

The computers love OSU and hate Stanford. Four of the computers have OSU #1 ahead of LSU, and they have yet to play Oklahoma.

Stanford has Oregon and likely USC left on their schedule. It won't be enough for them to jump OSU in the computers, much less the polls.

But thanks for playing!

Stanford seems to be the obvious choice here. I think LSU/Stanford will be a good matchup on the football field. The negative is Stanford's travel and support will be terrible. A LSU/BAMA rematch would electrify the city.

The computers do love OSU. The Big XII is "strong" this year top to bottom with a plenty of ranked teams and teams that used to be ranked.

Stanford has already played USC, two weeks ago. Stanford won in triple overtime. How did you miss Luck shooting snot rockets on national tv?

I would rather Stanford, but undefeated OSU is in. Big 12 gets more credit from the machines.

Duly noted PlayAhhh. I like the economic reference. Everyone knows the only way we get 'Bama is if Stanford and OKState lose. Even then it's a toss up w Oregon..... The guy w the poster for Stanford - Oregon game nailed it. However, from a reality standard of reference (computers) and economic it's...... OkState vs LSU. Les Miles will be at the pinnacle of his profession - having coached both teams respectfully well. EXCELLENT football karma for LSU. We win again!

I do NOT like the karma the 2nd go round w tricky Nicky. He will have coached both teams to national championships. Football vibes would be w Ala on this one. Plus - to be honest they had more opportunities to win then we did Sat. night. Their DEFENSE is every bit as good as our defense. Too much of a toss up (50-50) + the karma thing.....
