Assume LSU beat Florida in a carbon copy of last Saturday's win. Over 600 yards, never threatened, controlled the game in all phases, have the ball for over 35 minutes. Where are they ranked when the polls come out?

If you told me in August that LSU would fire its HC and turn around and begin putting up 600+ yard games, I would've slapped you then called you special.

Yes, I think if LSU can continue to perform as they did Saturday night, they will be moving up the ranks. Beat Alabama and Ole Miss and people will take notice.

it would be a big jump..simply for repeating last performance. basically proving what we knew all along before the season started on how good this team can be. couldn';t do that after one game of missouri.

They would move back into the Top 25. They aren't going to make any big jumps until they start stringing together multiple wins over quality opponents. They will also need people in front of them to lose.

At this point, I don't see the polls giving LSU the benefit of the doubt until they can prove to be more consistent.

I don't think they will be anywhere around 600 because Fla always has solid defenses just like LSU and Alabama. But if they were to get good production and get north of 400 on them I would say this team is on the way back and should def be ranked again. I would go with 20.

Yards in a game doesn't get a team ranked, if that was the case Lamar Jackson would be ranked #1 above Alabama

I believe LSU was like #27 if you looked at the others receiving votes for the AP Poll.. so if they roll into the swamp and get a convincing win vs #18, I would think around #16-18.

Especially considering a few of the teams between #15 - #25 will lose.

#25 Va Tech vs #17 UNC
#16 Arkansas vs #1 Alabama
#23 FSU vs #10 Miami

Polls are irrelevant and worthless. A bunch of guys voting, who don't pay attention to the games other than the final score. Now with the playoff, polls don't matter. They're a relic from long ago. Ignore them all.
