...does anyone else feel this team could be looking at a potential 6/7 loss season?
If LSU gets smashed in the trenches on both sides like they did against MSU & for 3 quarters vs Wisc, this is a real possibility.
Line work does not get fixed overnight.

That would mean:
MSU- loss
AU- loss
UF- on the road, solid D (definitely a potential loss, regardless of AU outcome)
UK- win
last 4 games versus 3 top ten teams & an Arky team that will run right through you.

If AU dominates LSU physically like MSU did, it could get really ugly really fast.
Naturally, if LSU dominates AU like last year, the performance capaility is there & the outlook changes.

It's laughable to think LSU might win only one remaining game. But if you look at it game by game it's not laughable at all.
(I'm not saying this will happen.)

agreed, it's just a message board thread
But people shouldn't be overly surprised if 5+ losses ends up a reality based on what we've seen to date.
The AU game should tell us a lot.

This BS is what I'm talking about...don't watch the games; we'll tell you the score afterwards.

Last time I checked Harris does not play defense. I think Lsu can win this game but not unless the defense improves from the MSU game. We have dominated inferior opponents on defense and struggled against equal talent. What changes to the defense from the MSU game makes you think we can stop Auburn's run game?

I think it is funny that people were doom and gloom after MSU and beating up on a horrible NMSU team now magically makes LSU a contender again.

LSU could possibly go 6-6 IMO or 11-1. The defense still looks mediocre and flawed, but much like the SHSU games, LSU played bad competition and it looked good.

I don't see Welter getting pulled anytime soon, and so it will be a crapshoot. LSU should be more dynamic on offense for sure though which is why this season will be a big time guessing game as to how they'll do.

I remember LSU showing flashes, but then ending up 3-5 in conference at the end of the season, and that was against a much weaker SEC West and a team that had strong DL play.

In the end, nobody knows, but it's not something that is out of the realm of reasonable possibility.

In the last two games the offense looked better with Harris. Lets see how this plays out. If the D doesn't improve, LSU might have to outscore teams. To me the running teams pose more of a threat than the passing teams to the D.

This is an important game. I'm going to try and enjoy this one.
