What happens to Miles IF LSU doesn't win the SEC West? I'm not talking about the SEC Championship or National Championship. I'm strictly talking about the SEC West...

-LSU: #1 in the country with 18 returning starters, potential Heisman LF, starting QB, Alabama playing in TS...

-Alabama: Lost Heisman trophy winner, Replacing their starting QB Coker, playing in TS.

-Mississippi State: Replacing Dak

-Ole Miss: Lost a ton, playing in at LSU

-Arkansas: Lost their QB, Hunter "4th and 25" Henry, Alex Collins

-Auburn:

-A&M: New QB and
---

LSU really has no excuse not to represent the West in the SEC Championship.

LSU travels to the swamp. That can derail a season.

Oh and LSU isnt returning 18 starters. Injuries already piling up.

What happens if LSU doesn't win? What happens to Miles? What will the excuse be? If not this year, then when?

I am so tired of this topic. Just let this shite play out. Be like me. Totally void of emotion. Take the Mizzou state of mind, sit back and just watch it.

It's not that simple. What if we go 11-1 and Alabama goes undefeated? Fire Miles? C'mon. It's not just about "winning the West." What's your answer to your own question?

The point is pretty obvious. He's wondering if the lynch mob comes out if LSU doesn't win the west. And it most likely will. It's pretty relevant.

Yea, no. LSU is 10X the program Mizzou is and rightfully should place high expectations on the program in this day and age.

These absolutes are so stupid. What if we beat Bama and win the rest of our games, but Ole Miss has a magical season and beats us in a close one, going 12-0 to our 11-1? Miles gets fired then? What if Brandon Harris, LF7, and Beckwith all tear their acls against Wisconsin and we limp into a 9-3 season? Miles gets fired then?

Or what if we lose to Wisconsn, somehow manage to win a West tie-breaker at 5-3(that was our record in '01), finish the regular season at 8-4, get embarrassed by Florida in the SECCG, and lose to Nebraska in the Outback Bowl, finishing 8-6? We keep Miles in that scenario even though we won the West, no?

We need to have a great season, be competitive in every game, and still be in the SEC and playoff hunt well into November. There's just too many uncontrollable factors to make these retarded absolutes.

I think anything less than a New Years 6 bowl is a failure of a season. We have too much talent and the stars have aligned perfectly for us this season. We have our hardest games at home, we have the best player in the nation, multiple seniors returned, Bama possibly the weakest they've been in a few years. We shouldn't lose anymore than 2 games.

Pretty fair to assume he's saying just in general, and not with a bunch of random factors that are less likely to happen than even LSU just not winning the west while staying healthy

I agree. This season has set us up perfectly. If not this year, then when?

According to Phil Steele, LSU was ranked/tied #1 in most returning starters

I really don't think theses two programs find Tiger Stadium that intimidating (Especially Alabama)

It depends.

I'm as anti Miles as anyone. But...

If we go 11-1 but finish second in the west to a 12-0 or another 11-1 team it would be hard to really think of firing Les.

Now with this team, any more than 2 losses should get us a new coach.
