LSU beats (Bama, Ark, A&M)
Ole Miss beats (High School, Ark, Miss St)
(In this scenario Alabama beats Miss St and Auburn.)

In your educated opinion who is ranked higher and would they make the top 4?

Of course all big ifs.

An 11-2 LSU is in the playoff
Ole Miss, like always, is on the outside looking in.

LSU has to be ranked higher because they beat Ole Miss. However, there are a lot of moving parts in this scenario occurring.

You can't finish the regular season 11-2.

A 10-2 LSU is certainly behind a 10-2 Bama. We will have to win the SEC.

How the ever lovin frick?? We beat them & beat the other team that beat them. The playoff committee puts huge emphasis on head to head - see ranking Ole Miss in top 4 while AP & Coaches poll had Bama ahead despite the loss to Ole Piss

Which doesn't make sense, but true...

If this happens, LSU might just end up going to the SECCG. Win that and we're definitely in the top 4.

The playoff shitmittee has ole miss 5 spots ahead of LSU even tho LSU won head to head and has same record

Committee doesn't care about head to head

Cares about politics and following the ap and coaches polls

Don't think for a second Archie's membership in committee hasn't steered ole miss high ranking

One favor to a committee member to be repaid to the team of another committee member

I come in peace for this comment and will be my only one here. But my outlook is that if both teams go 10-2 OM will end season ranked higher in the Playoff rankings.

BECAUSE in the final week of the season we would have knocked off a 11-0 or 10-1 MSU team while LSU just knocks off A&M. I could see LSU moving ahead of OM if they knock off Bama but i think an OM win over MSU would put them back in front again

True . . . but I hope that the smaller gap between our ranking & Bama's (9 spots) will be enough to pass them. Ole Miss beats AU if not for that freak play at the 6 inch line & I think the committee factored that in.

remember these are the humans, not the Math formula, if we beat Bama, Ark and A & M after Ole Miss, we will likely be in the playoffs...just because all the wins came at the end and after the losses
