Do you all believe Mett would have eventually won the job from Lee in 2011?

Just curious. I believe he should have been named the starter the minute he arrived, from a talent stand point. I just don't think he was mature mentally enough to handle the pressure.

(Feels crazy to type the last sentence since JJ was "mature enough"... my brain hurts, I need coffee)

I know he had his struggles. He finally pulled it together for the Bama game. I think he lacked focus. Skill set was there.

We would have won the ship if JJ had gotten shown the door

We would have lost the first Bama game if Lee played the whole game.

Most mobs do.

Honestly...this place reminds me of the woman that sits behind me bitching and fricking moaning about any play (offensive or defensive) that does not either gain 15+ yards or cause of loss of 15+. And then the next play, still bitching about the last, will go from bitching to yelling in support as it becomes the clear the play she was starting to hate turns into a big gain.

"BOOOOOOOOOOoooo.......ummmm, YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!"

While I certainly think change is in order in regards to the offense, and as much as I like Miles, I'd be willing to concede to a change in the big chair IF after we made that change all those who have bitched about Miles for a decade were forced to sew their god damn mouths shut for the next decade win or lose.

What are the chances the next guy, whenever he comes, settles the mob entirely?

From the Bama game on (when they loosened the chains on him), he was actually pretty good. We played this same offense for the first 8 games that year that we are seeing now. Terrified of making a mistake.

That said, no he wasn't going to beat out Lee.

0. The first loss they'd all be starting threads wanting Miles back.

Do you even watch the games? Vs UF, Mett whiffed downfield on open guys half a dozen times and had zero touch, rifling easy completions through Odell and Boone's hands for drops. It had nothing to do with a conservative game plan. As a matter of fact, LSU lost that game because of three straight passing plays inside the ten that resulted in a FG. You literally couldn't be more wrong.

False. Lee was lights out when he KNEW he was the starter 100%. Jefferson's return put that in doubt immediately.

Had JJ never been there Lee would have played with much more confidence against BAMA.

Mett was 11-1 in Juco and maybe forcing him into a Miles-esque offense limited him in 2012. How can one go 11-1 with a awesome stats to junk from one year to another except for scheme. Butt,

Dude, really? Our starter was out past curfew, drunk, and curb stomping a guy laying on the ground at a bar at 2 am.

All Mett ever did wrong was grab some girls arse while he was a true freshman. And 2 years later you think he wasn't ok to play qb after lighting up records in JUCO and being national player of the year?

I'd trade that for a win in January.
