He will stand at #25 on the all time NCAA rushing list between #24 Michael Turner of Northern Illinois and #26 Ray Rice of Rutgers. If he matches last years totals, he would finish the season around 4940 career yards. And remember, he lost one game due to weather, so he could possible finish the season with over 5000 career rushing yards.

He will finish his LSU career with over 5,000 yards easy...he is the best thing LSU has ever had. Can not ask for a better role model. I do not care if we do not win the championship, I will love this season
Thank you Leonard Fournette!

Agreed. Active in his community. Doesn't rush to judgement. Educates himself on topics before making statements. And uses his reach and influence to bring everyone together in a time of social unrest. Excellent role model.

He's also what .... 19 or 20 years old. The guy is a man on the field but he's still a kid.

I thought the Fournette hate was limited to Bama posters here and then I followed him for a day on instagram. Man gumps hate him. I do not understand it. I feel bad for him because he seems genuine and I like the guy.

Because he's not exhibiting cult-like behavior? Come on! His was a very sober, thoughtful opinion. Far from being corrosive to the atmosphere, his post is a model for how it should be done. Yours, on the other hand, is ad hominem.

No, because he is following the trend of dragging a sports forum into an infantile catfight about race relations and politics. There is a whole board dedicated just to that.

His post was snide and sarcastic, so I responded in turn. The very act of injecting politics into any discussion nowadays is corrosive.

LF wore a T-shirt. Now every sanctimonious jackass on this board has to post jabs at his character every time he is mentioned.

You could look at it this way:

quote:

LF is a really good football player. Now every jackass on this board has to inflate his character every time he is mentioned and force him into being looked at as a role model when he's clearly still immature and not ready to accept that role.

But that's just me.

The word "sanctimonious" isnt used in the proper context here. Also, the guy has made more mature moves than he has immature moves in his time at LSU. He has been all class (except for the fact that you got butthurt over a t-shirt). Seriously, man. Get over yourself.
