Do they lose they're national seed regardless of whatever else happens outside of them getting swept on their last weekend? Then would that put Florida,SC,and LSU as the 3 SEC national seeds regardless of the results of our game today? Just a thought I had I am sure somebody has already posted this somewhere else but it got me to thinking.

SEC tournament still counts. it'd def put them out unless they had a great showing in Hoover IMO

they dont control their destiny anymore. i think they are out

I think Kentucky kissed their top 8 seed goodbye yesterday. Their RPI was already the lowest of the 4 teams in contention and losing 2 didn't help

Good point....I'd rather LSU seal the deal and beat USC today, leaving no doubt, but I believe you are probably right.......If Kentucky loses today, LSU/USC/Florida will get the 3 national seeds regardless of USC-LSU outcome.

I posted this on the SECr, but UK could be in trouble for a host spot as well.
11-11 in their last 22
5-7 in their last 12
RPI #17
They get swept by a team like State and then go 2 and BBQ in Hoover and they are a #2 seed some place else come regional time.

going into today's game, the top 4's record against the others are:
ken 6-3
fla 4-5
usc 3-5
lsu 4-4 & kentucky could loose today & miss out on a national seed
the sec touny wiil go a long way in seeing who gets national seeds

Not to mention UK played all of their marquee series at home. This will work against them.

I really hope I'm wrong but if Kentucky loses today, I won't feel as confident in the SEC being a lock for 3 national seeds as I was a few weeks ago. I think Florida and the LSU/SC winner get one with the loser and Kentucky hoping to get one likely without a top 8 RPI or conference championship. I think one of them may need to do really well in the tournament for the 3rd national seed to be a lock. Teams like Oregon, Virginia, NC St are shooting up the RPIs.

if UK doesn't win the SEC then it hurts their national seed chances.
if USCe wins today they win the SEC
if we win today then I think we may win the SEC not sure how tie breakers work.
