People would and do go APESHIT when we don't have a top 10 defense.
Just because everyone around BR has been conditioned not to expect excellence on offense doesn't mean the standard should be set that ridiculously low. LSU only played 3 Defenses worth a shite this season, and only scored 20 points once. That's not good enough.

thats the worst part, i dont mind a 10 win season but he has cost us at least 2 titles and tried his hardest to not win the one he did win.
the talent we have is incredible and 8 ten win seasons is impressive but it could be so much more
I know we can't win every year but we should have more titles than we do.

I doubt either has more wins than Miles since he's been at LSU. UM took a break and Saban had to start over. Look it up.

I do think there's a point of diminishing returns at which a HUNH style is going to negatively effect your D even if they're the 85 Bears, but that's not what anyone actually wants.

You realize that the 2001 Miami Hurricanes would have been about 36 or so in offensive rankings this year
You act as if 51 is putrid this year. Alabama is at 46 with about 40 more yards per game
Not really that significant IMO
If you look at all the top 10 teams in offensive stats, not one of them will play in the National Championship game this year. Several of them are 500 teams like Baylor

I don't think he's done it on any sort of regular basis, but its sorta hard to deny the Bama game.
The smirk he gave during the pregame interview, the horrible timing on the calls, especially that 4th and 12 fake, and the quip after the game in the press conference, all made it sound like he was playing to his mythos a little bit.
