Why would they move him to tackle? They already have two of those. His value for LSU is as a blocking tight end.

You would rather have DeSean Smith or Foster Moreau lined up out there?

Blocking tight end =/= tackle. Two different techniques and skill sets needed. Not just all about the size.

Dude is a special TE. To be that athletic at his size is a huge blocking and, on special occasion, receiving mismatch. I can't imagine putting him at OT unless there was dire need due to injury/depth.

Please let him get the medical RS. It's pretty much like 3 tackles when he plays. I think LSU puts up 2013 Auburn numbers in the run game next year.

It seems pretty unlikely at this point that he'll receive the redshirt.

Not unreasonable to suggest it considering the NFL is looking at him playing on the OL.

What would make it unlikely? Seems like a no brainer that he should get it. How many games\plays did he participate in?

Plus he got stabbed. That should count for something.

Maybe Dillon will take a STAB at tackle.

Didn't Arky do this with Peters at TE and they had Shawn Andrews at RT. Peters went to NFL and became all pro tackle.

He's like a constant pass eligible tackle. Why move him to tackle?

Dear baby Jesus let him return as well as Moore back to 100%! This could be one special year if the QB play improves.

He will probably get it. He needs it to recover from an Achilles injury. I have heard the mental is worse than the physical.

God speed young man whatever way you go.

PS would love to see you in Nawlins.

I've always thought he could/would be a great LT if he wanted to...

LSU really would benefit more from running 3 tackles like Stanford does Gordon could be used for that and 3 times a year throw to the tackle eligible. 5-6 plays against BAMA running some heavy packages with 10 online men let LF take the snap and find the hole. We might not ne able to block their NOSE tackle but our two back up tackles on the outside double team an DE or LB. I'll take Four nette one on one against a safety any day.

Don't get me wrong we also need a better passing game- more accurate passes from Harris, passes to RBs crossing routes to wrs, drag routes to TE. It's just Stanford runs Power as food as anyone in the country and better than Bama if you consider the talent gap. We should mimmick some of Stafford power run stuff.
