Bebe as DC and Steele as position coach, would the initial Rant melt not have happened? I know for most the Orgeron hire saved the day, but would there have been little to no freak out at all if these two were reversed?

Pretty sure the consensus was a no for O as DC

i think we wouldn't have melted. I think Steele recruiting + Raymond Recruiting + Orgeron Recruiting = too big to fail

I'd be melting more. Excited right now.

Less meltage.
None if we thought last night's reality with Steele as DC and Brick at DL was the only alternative.

Honestly, as I've simmered down, I am brought back to the reality that this hire, while important, really matters not a wit if we don't have a QB next year.

I means sure, it would suck if our offense got on track next year but we gave up 24 a game, but, first things first.

We have a KNOWN problem(offense) and an UNKNOWN(defense). Obviously, the former is of greater concern.

Much different. Bebe has a great resume. Worked with Pete Carroll, Miami teams, Saints and was 6-2 at usc. Solid!

Steele, well, it's just not great. Time will tell but Bebe will have a great impact on the d bayond dline I bet.
