Shepard should make a better football coach than player.

It's a simple question, if the moon were made out of spare ribs, would you eat it?

The fact that everybody is only talking about RS on offense is interesting given the fact he tested out DB at Pro Day. LINK

Also, the fact that we give credit to the position coach when a player turns out great (Cam Cameron developed Brees, Rivers, and Flacco!) and blame the head coach when a player doesn't "reach his potential" (this thread..) is pretty incredible.

Will Chip be called a great coach and developer of talent or will Miles be seen wasting one of the most highly recruited players of recent past ?

I already find it upsetting to hear all of the NFLers talking about what a great coach Kelly is and how his offense is so up-tempo that it will revolutionize the game. On the other hand, there's Miles whose buffoonery is well noted and laughed at by all in the national media. Although he has good results, perceptions between the two seem pretty discrepant and I'd prefer to have a coach that is respected and feared than laughed at and mocked.

Pretty funny that everyone (including me) always says RS should've gone to Oregon and played QB for Chip Kelly and now thats his coach in the NFL.

I hope it works out for him.

Is Chip gonna teach him to run routes and catch?

Sorry folks. Russell Shepard will not see a meaningful down in the National Football League. He had four years to pick up the position and still couldn't see the field over a very mediocre receiving corps as a senior.

I disagree. It may no be at WR, but he'll get on the field.

Right, we can tell that by the one game they played head to head and the number of BCSNCs they each have.

Better coach in the opinion of the Eagles. I'm sure Les wasn't even on the long list of coaches that they'd consider hiring or anyone in the NFL for that matter.

As evidenced by the string of Super Bowls that Eagles coaches have won?

If he makes it at WR, then Les did absolutely the rt thing. Hes not playing qb. Could care less if he becomes all time nfl keader in receiving yards. It still means the coaches were rt and put him in position to hest succeed at the next level.
