And for him not to do the play calling or he's fired. Would you be fine giving les another year to see what he can do?

No!

It's too late for that.

Not really. He's obviously so stuck on calling offensive plays because he thinks that the best way to coach and sees nothing wrong with it. Why force someone to stay here and coach in a way that they don't think is best? That's a recipe for a lot of internal tension and a bad season. Time to just move on, Les had his chance to fix the offense and he never did. If 1/9/12 wasn't a wake up call then nothing will be

No coach would every agree to that. And even if he did, Miles would hire someone who has the exact same offensive philosophy as he does.

If he stays it would be the biggest circus of all time.

He's gone.

If Miles agreed to that then he would be admitting that he does not what the frick he is doing. That scenario would be the epitome of a lame duck coach.

Yes. But it won't happen. This reminds me of the firing of Denato (sp?). He was a good coach, had successs and was well like, moved the program forward, but would not fire his defense coordinator who was terrible. Too hard headed like Miles. If Les would do what Saban does and let his OC call the offense, he could stay as for as I'm concern.

God our fans suck.

Let me guess, you need ranked opponent and game within 3 points in the 4th for it to not be boring.

No. You don't pay someone 4.5 million a year to be told how to run his program.

Would not work. You cant let the OC have no accountability, with the HC's job on the line. A HC needs to be able to override a call when needed, or suggest a run or pass, but shouldnt have to check off on every play like it seems Miles does. Thats why we're always so late getting plays in, delay of games after timeouts, etc.
