I think playing Tech would be a better game than playing teams like Jacksonville state and south alabama. What are your thoughts?

Not every year, but maybe more often. While you're at it, tell ULL to sop fearing LSU in basketball and football. They're too butthurt to schedule us

Once in a while? Sure.

Every year? Nah.

Although, I think we should have at least one of the Louisiana schools every year. Rotating through them every year.

Every year or so. I know Tech's a good mid program, but I know Tech people who're convinced they could beat us. Fournette and Guice would put up 300 yards a piece on that defense of theres. Their offense probably wouldn't be able to sling the ball on us as well, either.

nah...LSU played an in-state or two every year for a time, but it just caused a lot of hard feelings when LSU continued to dish out arse whippings. the games were so uncompetitive, that the practice was stopped several years back.

ULL would play LSU in football every year if they could. They need the rent-a-win money without having to pay out any travel expenses except for 3 - 4 bus rentals.
That said, Louisiana Tech is the class school of the UL system.

Hell yea! Wearing red and blue would look great with some purple and gold. Two best teams in the state going at it would drum up some good money, too.

In 2003, LSU played and beat both ULM (49-7) and LA Tech (49-10).

In 2007, LSU played LA Tech again and won 58-10.

LSU won the BCS national championship both years.

So yes, put LA Tech on the damn schedule every year!

I see you forget to mention 2009 when Tech was leading at halftime. ;)

Yeah, most years LSU would have ran the ball down Tech's throat. But, there would have been some years where Tech's offense would have scored points and Miles' stubbornness might have made it interesting. Not saying Tech would win but they would have covered.

LSU is fortunate not to have scheduled Tech in 1998 or 1999 as Tim Rattay and Troy Edwards would have passed them silly on that drop linebacker nonsense.

You missed his point, and you also lost.

What if we lose? It would be too embarrassing. I vote against it.

My comment was in jest, hence the wink.

If his point was that playing Tech somehow leads to national titles, then it's a bad point as it commits the logical fallacy called post hoc ergo propter hoc.

If his point was that every time LSU would play Tech it would be a lopsided blowout, that's inaccurate also. Having attended many games during the Miles era, I've seen LSU struggle on offense against bad defenses. Plus, those two games (in 03 & 07) were elite LSU teams playing bad WAC teams that finished with a losing record.

But yeah, I don't think Tech should play LSU every year.

Rotate between La.Tech, Tulane and SWLAJC@Lafayette every year. One of the three should be in Tacky Ad & Music Stadium every season............

La. Tech several times. McNeese once, are the only state schools to sell out their allotment of tickets for their games in T.S.
