Do USC fans rip on Pete the way LSU fans do Miles? They have top 3 classes every year and have the best winning percentage over the last 8 years and only 1 crystal ball (don't even bring up that AP crap). Are Californians more laid back or are we that dilusional?

The difference between what's going on at USC vs LSU is that I'm pretty confident they will make a turnaround next year. I thought LSU was going to make a turnaround this year but Miles has made me a skeptic.

My point exactly. They win alot but have one BCS title. Miles has 3 of the six 10 win seasons in LSU history (that means he wins alot more than any other coach that has ever been here- check his winning percentage.) We complain that Miles is not winning the SEC every year...

Why would you assume a USC turnaround and not an LSU turnaround? IF LSU wins the next two I would say that this is a successful season. Loosing to #1 & #2 is no crime (ol miss on the other hand...)

It's not the win-loss record that has most reasonable fans concerned. Its the consistantly poor game management and mind numbingly dumb calls that fortunately have been covered up by wins that have people concerned.

The fear is that the Ole Miss game unmasked what should have been readily evident all along.

As far as the comparison with USC and Pete Carrol, who gives a crap, LSU is the only team I care about

If we beat Arky and win our bowl, you can't complain about a 3 loss season. However, look at each game individually:

Close game to Vandy
Near loss to Miss. State
La Tech ahead of us in the game
Loss to Ole Miss

We were close to dropping at least two easy games that we should have won by at least two scores.

Yes Miles has a great record as compared to other college teams. The Question though is how many of the other college coachs could have done the same or better with the talent Miles has enjoyed?
