game day. Five of us are driving up from Metairie that morning and we would love to contribute to a tailgate.

Not only that, they aren't opening the lot for tailgating until 4 pm. Which is dumb, come to Woodrows and watch the other games with us and get drunk bro. We Have A BIG Group going

We got a bus of about 50+ and we have a bus pass to get in the gate, but I have no idea where we're gonna be, but I can grantee we won't be hard to find or hear.

NRG is doing a damn good job of castrating the tailgating to a point where most people with good setups won't even be trying to tailgate. Just park at a metro station ride down to midtown and party at the bars around there and take train to game an hour before.

The Insiders' Club is partying at Chicken's mansion, we'll probably hit the game a few minutes before kickoff.

I know we are beating this drum but we'd love to have all of you guys join us at NRG Center! BIG news being announced tomorrow! Might change your mind on where you tailgate!

Can't stop you from going to Woodrows but they are under NEW ownership and the place is no longer an LSU venue. In fact they painted the entire place Alabama red! If you can't make the LSU Houston tailgate there are a few parties happening around the stadium in parking lots....and you can always hit midtown! I would recommend the official game watch location of LSU Football and Saints Football games "Christians Tailgate" Located in midtown minutes from the metro! Check out www.lsuhoustontailgate.com

No disrespect but I would do the lsu tailgate if it came with more than just one meal ticket, for 50 bucks I'd expect a few trips to the food table OR 3-4 drinks along with that one food ticket, I know it's for a good cause but at the end of the day people are looking at the bottom line

This is kinda where I stand. As much as I would love to go, it's just too much money compared to other options

I've never taken the train to nrg but you may want to load up on it sooner then an hour before game time. There should be more people trying to ride it then on your standard texans game.

I researched and found the train has a capacity of 400 and runs every 12 to 15 minutes so four times and hour.. Might end up being a cluster to get on that thing.

I have taken the train to Texans games. I have season tickets to the Texans. I will never ride the metro to a game again. AND I would NEVER do it on the first game of the year. (Which is exactly what the LSU vs Wisconsin game it) If you want to be in your seat for kick off you need to be exiting the train at 6. It might take an hour to get OFF the train! They are checking to make sure every person getting off the train has either a tailgate ticket or a game ticket. It's not just get off and walk in! And another hour easy to get in the gates! I could be wrong but I've done it before and it was miserable! There will be a lot of very upset fans if they think they can hop on the metro after 6 and make kick off!

Christian's Tailgate Midtown on Bagby will be very convenient for that Saturday, but just to clarify, the Heights location (on White Oak) is the actual official LSU Houston bar now. Kickoff party is on 4/21.
