I used to think Crowton was the problem with his complicated schemes

I also thought the dual off coordinators was a problem. When we hired Krags I thought maybe that solved it. Then Krags got ill so we promoted another off line coach to Off Coordinator. And thru all of this it seems we still rank 90th or worse every year? Is it talent? Is all this talent we recruit overrated? I have a hard time believing that but there definitely is a problem when it is every year. But as long as we win I guess it doesnt matter.

Completely agree and think that we need to become more balanced and less run first offense.

It's acceptable when you win, but play like this will come back to bite you in the arse. It's only a matter of time and the next three weeks will be show this team's discipline or lack there of.

crowton was a gem with his hands tied behind his back. been sayin it for years. we traded him for a tackle from bowling green and a guard from michigan to call plays

Jesus Christ this thread is absurd. Crowton was a clown and completely ruined LSU's and Maryland's offense..

I agree, but were the dual coordinators better? Is the current one better. Look at the stats. We stay near the bottom year after year no matter who is running the offense. I was just trying to make the point that I dont think it is our offensive talent or playmakers.

Kragthorpe ran a conservative offense under Slocum at eaTme.
He would not have been a home run hire as OC had he not have become ill.

Crowton was a problem!

Chief and the guys chief helped select were good hires as was Frank Wilson.

The offense actually moved when Miles took over for Crowton's ineptness..

Really? Last year our defense made our offense. And in the BAma game we didnt cross the 50. Again I think Crowton sucked but we still have not fixed the offense problem

You idiots are seriously reaching by calling for Crowton - probably one of the worst offensive play callers all time - because the offense ONLY scored 38 pts last night...

The same Crowton that got fired from Maryland after one year? Yeah, a real gem that couldn't even hold a job in the ACC.

negative, ghostrider. Crowton's always been a flash in the pan. Good first year until the opposition figures out his scheme, then a steady decline. Whatever our problem, Crowton wasn't the solution.
