As you could see, pitching can be really good and you still lose the game. Our bats, or should I say the lack of our bats, are what is doing us in.

I think you played right into his sarcastic hand.
His point, I feel, is we are losing games in general because we can't hit, be it midweek or weekend games.
But most on here say we only lose midweek games because other teams throw their ace and we don't.
