There is no will power to fire Les Miles. He will coach here until he decides to retire. He now more than ever controls his own destiny. Miles has somehow eclipsed the program.

Something else that will begin to come to reality over the next year will be the financial problems of LSU. People that donate big money are fed up with it. That money will now go elsewhere.

My personal opinion is that Alleva's speech last night will go down in LSU as the definitive turning point in LSU football when the program officially entered a very dark period.

I don't get this at all. Les was obviously very afraid and unsure about his future. He and the players and everyone thought he was gone.

Its obvious that it was Fisher or nobody. Fisher turned them down so they stuck with Les.

Next time they may not care about if its a specific coach.

I think, or hope, this might wake Les up and causes him to change.

I think if Alleva is fired and a real AD that the boosters can trust comes in, things will be smoothed over. This needs to happen.

I respectfully disagree. We have had 5 OCs...same offense. I think this will embolden Miles because he knows he has the support of a large portion of the fanbase and the national media.

I'm aware.

I just hope this will wake him up.

One can hope, right?

Or is hope not allowed around here?

There is hope and there is learning from patterns. I tend to look at facts, trends and patterns to predict future outcomes.

hopefully they have a better plan in place, and not try to make a change so quick, but after this shite show, I really have zero faith in alleva.

Fact is that Les never had the type of scare like this before.

He thought he was gone.

He was saved at the last hour.

We will see how he reacts. You very well could be right. I have hope that this will wake him up. Its all I can do at this point.

Chills down spine as an LSU fan. Yet this is overlooked by the pissing and moaning. These people became wealthy enough to have millions as disposable income because of 3 letters, ROI. To think this is now gone, yikes.

I don't think it's really fair to count Krag as an OC. I know 5 makes a better point than 4 but still

Very true. We are running this like a youth league that gives participation trophies. This is a multimillion dollar business and should be run as such.

Instead, we have determined that being good enough is good enough. It's beyond ridiculous and those that run businesses wherein good enough is failure will not give their hard earned money any longer.
