What has changed so much in a week that people are optimistic about this game? Our O line is still bad, our best two players are not well (prob 3 players if you include Lawrence), and there's dissension within the team itself. Why are we suddenly going to be able to score points against the best defense we've played all year?? This is gonna be Miss St. 2.0. Somebody tell me why I'm wrong. My heart wants the outcome to be different but my head keeps getting in the way.

Personally, I'm just going to watch with no expectations.

My head tells me we get beat, and pretty bad, my heart is torn because I always want LSU to win, but I fricking hate Coach O. I think I'll, for the first time, just watch. Can't get mad about shite play when shite play is what you expect.

Is this how far we've fallen in such a short time? We've gone from expecting to win EVERY game, including Bama, to not having expectations against Florida?

Damn you Alleva!

Listen to your inner Spock and go with logic. It'll get you farther with the expectations for the football team this year than your emotions will.

It's the ebb and flow of fans. Right after a loss or poor season, as time passes delusional hope starts creeping in and people start to convince themselves that a switch can be flipped. The problem as I see it is Orgeron's disorganization and inability to make sound decisions will likely drive this team into further chaos. #hopeandpray

I really don't know. In fact, each time Ed opened his mouth this week, I became even less confident that we win.

At this point it will be a small miracle if the wheels don't come completely this week.

LSU will be better off if we lose.

I think we probably get blown out, maybe we can keep it close.

Answer: nothing.

Answer: that's misleading. All the CheeriO's have flooded the board but make no mistake, the majority of us still believe and know that the situation is bad.

Way I'm approaching today- if we win on the field, good. Because I'll never root against LSU players. And because frick Florida. And if we lose, we win because it puts us closer to the first domino (Alleva) falling. And because frick Florida.

Either way, frick Florida and their chartreuse beaver toothed shark molesting coach and their jorts wearing boy band fan club.

I agree. This is going to be a long game for LSU. The Gaytors are going to rub our noses in this one.

I expect a Florida victory but this lsu team and Orgeron really are backed into a corner so it's going to be interesting to see how they come out.

It's typical. The emotion from last week begins to wear off as the week goes on. By Friday, the whole fricking city believes we can win now. It's like everyone forgot that we got our arse handed to us last week. By Troy. You don't just flip a switch and fix that.

I hope we win but im not expecting to. I also don't think anything has changed in a week. There's been way too many meetings this week. I'm just trying to enjoy every game with no expectations. We only have 12 days in the year to enjoy LSU football.

I think LSU wins by 14 today. Florida should be a 3 loss team at this point. They’ve lost a ton of starters including their QB. LSU was just embarrassed at home. The players should be pissed and highly motivated. Then Florida makes this homecoming? They’ll recognize their baseball national champions and surely highlight they beat LSU.

I just think if these guys have any pride at all, this is the game they lay it all on the line. A beatdown here and you can cancel the season.

The game is played on a field not on paper. I don't give a shite what you think. If you're so weak- why watch?

Florida is statistically the worst scoring and total defense we've played. They are ranked 69th in scoring and total defense (BYU is tied with them in scoring defense). Even more surprising is that DBU is ranked 82nd in passing D. This is the most lackluster D that I have seen in Florida in quite some time. They had one cupcake they didn't play due to a hurricane, but even without the cupcake, they've only played one really good team in Michigan. Vandy, UK and Tennessee are not offensive powerhouses.

But I still don't have enough to tell you that you're wrong in your thinking. The O era seems to be imploding in impressive fashion. All I can say is that we had more talent than them last year and I feel the same way this year, so if the players focus in and ignore the outside stuff (easier said than done), they could pull it off. UF is still playing better as a collective unit though.

Miss St. 2.0

That's a completely accurate assessment of how I believe the game will progress, except for one thing: Florida is a better team than Miss. State.

This game has the potential to get ugly quick. You have to realize we trailed Troy 24-7 midway through the 4th. The Tigers are a bad team with a bad coach, and have no team chemistry whatever. If it's a close game in the second half and the Tigers have scored two or more TDs, consider the afternoon a success.
