Kind of like the McNeese game, it didn't count once the rains and lightning came.

What I saw was an offense shifting all over the place, the defense just standing around, the offense finally snapping the ball and the defense making the tackle. We'll see come fall if this can work.

For Matt Canada it was pretty vanilla play calling. Liked the targets for Chark and favorite play from the opening series was the pass to Guice. They would have scored a TD without the false start on the 1.

Well, in Aranda's defense, I believe he said the play (defensive call) is the play, and no amount of offensive hoodoo voodoo changes it.

Canada has said that they didn't do anything outside of what he ran at Pitt last year, since teams already have that film. If you watch Pitt's offense from last year you'll recognize almost all of the plays. We'll have to wait until BYU to see what installed specifically for our personnel.

Also, remember for the spring game the offense is doing the most vanilla version of a system that the defense has already faced three times in Spring scrimmages and in practice every day. Obviously QB is still a concern, but the offense has shown enough creativity and difference from last year to give reason for some optimism

A defensive player can be standing in the same spot but have a different responsibility depending on what the offense is doing.

jet sweeps won't work against bama. tried it in nc game by throwing quick passes to wr to get them moving from sideline to sideline and look what happened.
