He seemed like a decent fella. He never trashed us. He was respectful and seemed proud of his guys even in a loss. He has brought that program around extremely fast. I will probably hate him in a few years but there are a few opposing coaches I actually like and I think he is going to be one of them.

Seems descent.

I agree! Seems to be of the same mold as CLM. The players like him and respect him. I liked that shot of one of his players with his arm around him during the review after Fournette fumble. That was pretty cool. He seems to have a grasp of the game management as well. Going to be a force EVERY year w Florida. I would like to see Ala. play them more often moving forward....

Wonder if Jim knows about his players poking eyes in the huddle, hitting Fournet in the nuts, etc.?

I caught this when he had a good attitude during the interview before the 2nd half.
Also you can tell he's a fun coach if he was laughing on the sidelines with his arms around his players during the game. (they were losing)

Have to say it unlike ole Bobby Petrino from this Big Sky state, McElwain is a great guy from up here in Montana.

Hell, he was clapping after the fake field goal for a touchdown. I thought that was pretty cool of him.

I posted the same thing last Sunday and was vilified. I agree, I think Florida hit a home run with this hire and that's a hard gamble to see pay off.

The gum-smacking doesn't bode well, but he seems like a decent fella.

the Florida team showed more class then we did pregame when our team went to mid field and began chimpin' at the Gators who were still on the field warming up. Gators never even turned around to acknowledge them.

Florida has a history of stomping on the eye pregame and generally being a bunch of thugs, our guys were just protecting their house.

Hate the Gaytors!
