For the past 9 years I hated everything about Saban because no matter what good he did while at LSU, he hurt LSU far worse when he went to Bama.

But sitting here watching bama drill auburn, I realize LSU would have never done what would have been necessary to keep Saban long term.

LSU does not strive for excellence like other top ten programs. LSU is content with middle of the road success with a punch line for a coach.

It was nice while it lasted, but I can now sit back and just enjoy college football and no longer have to worry about LSU being elite.

The hiring of O is basically a surrender by LSU football...evidently resigned to turning into hot garbage and wait out GoatSaban to retire.

OP you are just another bandwagon that started liking LSU when they became successful. GFY and your negative attitude. AND for the record Ed Oregon is a damn good coach, motivator, person, recruiter and he GENUINE ELY LOVES LSU unlike your sorry arse

Been saying this for years. LSU doesn't have the mindset of the elite programs. No elite program would have let an embecile coach their school for a decade. They settle. It's the Louisiana way

Yup. Fans can rest assured that LSU does not want to be elite. Wins and losses don't matter. Good football doesn't matter. The program essentially doesn't matter. 8-4/7-5 this is what we want as a program. At best. We have no interest in domination or competition.

Why don't you get your dried up grey balls out of your boyfriends purse loser. This is about striving for excellence versus settling for mediocre.

You obviously are use to settling for mediocre old man. Losers in life usually do.

Jesus...

Despite the turmoil of a mid-season coaching change, LSU: a) completely beat the shite out of 5 of its remaining opponents; b) killed the SEC East champion in every way except the scoreboard; and, c) gave the SEC West champion (and consensus No. 1 team) its toughest game.

I suspect that with a staff HE selects.and a full Spring and Fall this coach might just be able to do something special.

Or, you can just shite on him.
