I need a game update. I slept through it because I have work today

I missed the game because it plays at 230am my time and I have work. So what happened? I saw on ESPN that white had a punt return and scrubbing the board etling played. How much time did he get? I will look for the game in YouTube this evening.

LSU won, The Rant/Score Board still supremely pissed.

A star was born..we have a competent qb now.

Jacksonville state 55-6. They plastered us. Les played qb tonight. 1/18 489 yard and 1 interception. Mouton scored 2 touchdowns. And JaMarcus Russell kicked two field goals. Great game.

Brandon played all of 6 plays. 3 and out first 2 series. We scored 27 in the second quarter with 3 offensive TDs and a punt return for a TD.
Everyone is understandably pissed this development

Harris was playing like pooh. Gets yanked for Etling. He proceeds to rejuvenate the fans and the team, plays well, but still has a lot of work. His stats are deceptive. There were a few passes that should've been caught, and he looks very good going through his progressions and very comfortable in the pocket. Footwork is very good.

Yeah the 6 points was too much.

Etling came in on our 3rd possession after we went 3 and out on the first two. He led us to 3 straight TD drives and looked very good doing it. Also led us to a TD in the second half.
Don't get too excited, but also don't listen to the dumbasses that are already shitting on him.

Etling came in on the 3rd possession after 2 straight 3 and outs under Harris, and JSU had the lead 3-0. Harris only threw one pass that should have been caught by anyone, and that was a dropped INT.
Etling, as stated, looked solid in the 2nd quarter, and the game was basically over at halftime.
Short analysis of Etling: seems to have Mauck-like athletic ability, pretty fast when he takes off. Appears to know what he's doing in the pocket; did get sacked and fumbled once in the second half, but generally slid around well and kept his eyes downfield. Never seemed to panic.
Was able to very competently throw underneath and short routes, hit the dump-off passes well, and was decently accurate with deeper routes- hit a TE for a TD, barely overthrew Guice for what likely would have been a TD, and put up at least 2 deep balls to Dupre- one drew a pass interference in the endzone for us, and the other was slightly underthrown and picked off (Dupre didn't put up much of a fight).
Etling is not a gunslinger like Mett was, but seems like he can move the ball very well against defenses stacked against the run. Might be limited if someone is able to stuff the run with just their d-line, and drop 7 into coverage a lot.
Barring injury, I really think this is Etling's team now.
White made a play on a punt return and scored, but should never have done that (he ran backwards 20 yds, then broke free). God willing, he got that out of his system .
Dupre really looks lost out there, he might be the next guy headed to the bench. Chark finally got a catch.
Defense looked lost and sloppy at times again, but began to tighten up as the game progressed. I think they eventually will be solid, but there are growing pains right now. Beckwith finally began to make plays in the second half. Key continues to get pressure. White is locking his side down, but the other corner is iffy.

I was wondering how many are reminded of mauck. Not like he is exactly the same, but I couldn't help but think of him. Mauck was probably a better runner. I say probably because we haven't seen enough of Etling.

Two line sparknotes version:
-Harris was awful and by the end of the second drive the boo birds were out and on the verge of a full-blown mutiny.
-Etling comes in and leads us on three straight TD drives. The fans go wild, the defense is amped, and the offense plays with a swagger we haven't seen in a long time. It's his team now.
