Minter was not out muscled but he definitely missed assignments. No matter how well a kid does in practice, when he gets his first big time game chance his brain will probably turn off. I'm sure that's what happened to Minter. He'll excel on 1/9.

Yep, the NFL is overrated.
He's going to miss a NC.

Minter is going to be good one. He is far ahead of Sheppard as sophomore. Remember people thought he was Ryan Perriloux covering kick offs. He was thought of a liability until midway through his junior season.

GTFO. He was solid right from his soph season. But no one took notice of him till his monster junior year. He was lost in Beckwith's shadow early on even though he had a better season. Fans paid more attention to PP7, Chad Jones, Coleman and Baker.

Minter will be very important on Jan 9 and I expect him to play very well. I think he is going to set the stage for a big Jr season and all conference consideration. Bama is the perfect opponent for his skillset. Only thing I'm concerned about with Minter on Jan 9 is covering those TEs. If he keeps them from killing us then we'll be dominate.

Minter is faster and takes on a ball carrier lower, and with greater leverage. His problem has simply been being in the right place at the right time (assignments). He looked very solid the last few games of the year, however.

trent richardson straight up trucked minter on nov 5. the guy needs to get bigger next year. he also got trucked by spencer ware in the big cat drills. he laid crowell out so i hope he can stop trent this time around

Richardson is going to get his, just like last game. He's an NFL player still in college.

Minter won't ever have to face another TR after 1/9, so he'll be solid the next 2 seasons at the same weight. Just add experience = All SEC.

He's done that all season, to many LB'ers.
