I like our defense.

They are not the most talented group. The numbers say they are middle of conference in statistical categories.
The thing this defense does is that it creates turnovers. They just seem to find a way to do whatever it takes and they play with heart.
They may give up yards, but they don't give up a lot of points. Most importantly, they haven't let the other team score more points than us yet.

Good points. Winning the turnover war is HUGE! Had only 8 picks in 13 games last yr, with about 65 yds. in return yards. LSU's opponents (or for clarification, J. Lee's favorite receivers) had 18, with a whopping 480 or so total int. return yds. and Lee's epic 16 interceptions (including his 7 pick-sixes in 8 starts).
You are correct about the bottom line: We've scored more points than the other team five games so far. It's also great that, unlike last season, we don't have to spot everyone we play 10 to 14 points. And we've now won as many SEC games as we did all last year...
