This might be one of them. Want to preface by saying this is strictly hypothetical. I don't question miles and staff if just something I wouldn't mind seeing.

Copeland @ TE. I mean, strictly for a couple packages. Let him run and quick out or outside slant and laugh as the corner, OLB or safety gets trucked.

I know, I know. Let the coach coach. And he is doing a great job as usual. :fearthehat:

Not that we want to take the ball from Our stable of backs or our receivers but its just a thought.

He's more likely to have a pass thrown to him as a FB than a TE.

Have we thrown a single pass to a TE yet this year? Pretty sure Copeland caught a pass against Idaho, or at least had one thrown to him.

Well, I don't know. But I'm pretty sure I know what would happen if the OP switched to Head Coach.

Yeah but a pass out of the backfield and a pass coming off the line are different. Less people to beat as a TE and able to get to the past the LOS quicker. Also ha easier access to the sidelines where there will be less defenders.

JC Copeland doesn't seem like the athlete that runs great routes...

Maybe but you don't necessarily have to be Percy harvin to run a 3-5 step slant or 5-10 yard out route.

Or we could put Copeland in the Wild tiger package.

Well, if 5'6" is good enough for DE, I suppose 6'1" is good enough for TE.

How about the freak at d-end instead of d-tackle? Freak is fast and strong as an ox. I wouldn't mind seeing him come around the end and destroy qb's. As a tackle he is almost always double teamed.
Would like to see shep as qb and run the option with ford a few times. That would make a dynamic pair.

No you don't but does Copeland have any agility or quickness whatsoever?

No. Chavis' speed on the edge, beef in the middle philosophy is too good. Wouldn't dare question this defensive staff

I guess you missed that short pass to Copeland last game that bounced off his hands as if it were hitting a concrete slab.

I guess so. I could have sworn he's caught a couple out of the backfield though.

TH would have been the best DE ever.
