There's nothing wrong with the offense until someone can matchup physically. If they matchup physically, we have to find a way to move the ball other than running it. I still believe against those teams that Fournette should get most of the touches, we just need to find other ways to get it to him in space. There is nothing wrong with the offense except for the fact that we need to change our game plan against those matchup nightmares like bama.

not only that, but there seemed to be a problem with preparation before the game. too many miscues presnap on offense.

Will the whole offseason be like this.

I hope Miles realizes our defense kept us out of three games.

Oh he did and we now have a top mind in CFB.

Your senior RT has 3 false starts. He's started 45 games. You're really blaming the coach?

I think bringing Cam down to the sideline will help with that, but Harris has to develop more this offseason. He has to learn to be more accurate in the 3rd and long situations. Cam has to earn his paycheck next year. If Harris can get better on the intermediate passes, LSU will do well next year.

There's limited time to prepare in college. Physical matchup must be won (recruits). There's no putting in a special Alabama game plan in the middle of the season.

No it's called don't do play action on 3 and 4 and run two man route with one going 45 yards down field and other 30 yards. We are only team in America who runs that type of play more than others in that situation

It all about mismatches. Cam and Les haven't proved they can create those.

Kiffen is doing that at Bama. Ole Miss succeeding at also.

That's silly. How do you expect Harris to complete throws consistently if he only hands it off in the first half of the season? Not too mention his first throwing game is against the best defensive team in the country..

Be careful. I said basically the same thing, suggesting we use him similar to the way Stanford uses McCaffrey.
Especially vs teams like Bama.

The board nearly lost its collective mind.

That'a where coaching comes in. Spring, Fall camp, rent-a-wins. Sometimes you have to work on those things in the ball games, and even if they aren't executed perfectly, you create a bit of uncertainty in your opponent as to what you may do. Because we fail to do this, our offense is completely predictable and teams know that when the pressure spots arise, Les Miles is going to line up in the I formation and hand the ball off to the tailback.

presnap penalties are a sign that players aren't focused which falls in the lap of the staff as well. so yes.

bullshite.

Good coaches creat specific game plans for different opponents.
They find weaknesses in the other team and create specific mismatches to exploit them.

It really isn't more complicated than that. Les is just unwilling, incapable (or both) to do it.

How do you think it would've played out if CC was on the field at that time? Quicker communication/more adjustments?

we saw in the bowl game that harris was more comfortable with communicating with CC on the side line on presnap calls.

Thank you Jesus! Try 3rd and 2 against TT (almost worst rush defense in NCAA) and throw a 30 yd flag pattern to a guy who hasn't run it all year...

but if we don't run those plays in the earlier games the team can't execute them well when they are needed. these cupcake games should be like glorified scrimigas (sp) and practice the "box loaded" busters.
