i just gotta tell you guys how much i'm enjoying the rant these days

more than ever. you have to be careful. there are some posters here who are very, very serious. there are posters who seem to lurk here just to call you names if they think you're really stupid. what I've learned is just don't treat them the same. assume they are good dudes just like you, that you'd like them if you met them, and be happy.
I had a guy tell me a couple days ago I was one of the top 3 worst posters on the board. I am still laughing my arse off about that! I can't say exactly why, but 1 reason is that this guy actually remembers names of posters and pays that much attention, and my question is - if I'm so bad, why does he ever open up on one of my discussion threads. I love that guy. I mean it. he is one of the serious guys who really takes his posts seriously.
I come on here for the entertainment and to rant. like me, a lot of guys are letting off steam because of their great love of all things LSU and the frustration when things don't all go our way. This too shall pass. they'll get over a lot of it, and come back to praise our school.
my advice - don't fall into the trap of taking yourself or anyone else too seriously on this board. Have a ball! I know I am.

There are some very serious posters on here. Some are very angry as well. It almost seems like they believe what they post on an internet forum actually matters and can effect some sweeping change at LSU and even beyond.

Sports is just entertainment. I admit that I used to take it too serious. A couple years ago I learned to not take any sports team serious.

Chicken needs to create another board called The Parking Lot so posters who get too rowdy can just take it out to the Parking Lot and duke it out...
