Not to slight the Wisconsin fanbase, which I have heard is great, but if my team was gift-wrapped a victory by the fifth-ranked team in the country with a Heisman frontrunner and supposedly multiple first-round NFL draft picks on roster, I would be pretty gracious too.

Agreed. We had so many of their fans apologize to us for winning. Many more asked if we were enjoying the stadium and the area. People shared food and beer freely.

As a Wisconsinite---and having lived in both GB & BR----now currently living in the Mtn. Time Zone----I am glad that the Badger fans treated you well. I spoke to someone who went to the game and he had many conversations with LSU fans. I was afraid that some drunk A*hole Wisconsinite would cause some problems after the game----does not seem that much of that occurred.

Badger fans have much lower expectations than LSU fans---we realize that the Badgers will never when a championship---much different than Packer fans who feel they should win the Super Bowl every year.

As I repeatedly said when I was in BR---If the Badgers and LSU ever played in a meaningful bowl game---the host city would run out of beer.

Good luck the rest of the way to all your sports teams----and the interest/following in your baseball team always impresses/amazes me!!

They are the nicest around...maybe more noticeable coming from SEC fans where the opposite is true in many places in the SEC.

I was completely impressed by the Badger fans. They were the nicest football fans ever. Some of them were giving us hugs after the game.

Except for one guy acting like he was jerking off on me, they weren't half bad.

Most were, but not all.

Nearly a fight outside the stadium with shirtless overall clad Badger fan talking major shite to a LSU baw. They were separated but it was about to go down.

Most was light ribbing

I thought the Wisconsin fans base was awesome. I think overall the people of Milwaukee and up to Green Bay were impressed how many showed up to go to the game. All commented about how much purple was everywhere and how we were buying food drink and t-shirts.

Wisconsin people are the closest to our "type" across the nation. they love their alcohol and they are the only other state (besides La) where neighbors say "hello" when you walk down the street.

Can any of you folks help me---I hung around The Patio and Big Daddy's quite a bit along Jefferson Hwy----are those places still open? Met a lot of good people there.

They were really nice. Partly because they didn't have any expectation of winning and partly because they felt bad for us.

The new playoff format is a huge step forward compared to the BCS, but limiting the playoffs to four teams kinda sucks; one bad loss in week one and your hopes are dashed.

On the other hand, unlike the BCS, if you play a tough schedule and lose early, you'll get in ahead of a team (like Iowa last year) who nearly went undefeated on a steady diet of cupcakes.

I'm looking forward to bowl season. For once, we can truly roll our eyes at the usual opposing fan taunt that "you've never seen a QB/offense/defense /speed/etc like ours." If we survive the gauntlet of our remaining schedule with three losses we can hold our heads high as we run onto the field at the Outback Bowl, lol....
