If we don't get jimbo, suddenly getting rid of miles is the wrong decision? What a load of crap. There's plenty of other coaches out there we could get, IF jimbo chooses to stay at FSU, it's onto the next candidate. The change needed to be made regardless of who we get.

What a bunch of sky-is-falling nancies in here.

It's part of their new narrative to defend miles. Setting up the new coach for failure with unrealistic expectations.

A lot of them want LSU to fail so they can be vindicated.

You don't fire Miles if you don't have a commitment from your man whether it's Jimbo or Peter fricking Pan.

Oh how people forget just how pedestrian miles' record was as a head coach before coming to LSU.

There are plenty of good options. The guys paying for it may see it differently though, because most of them are basically wealthy preteens.

If you had done all this behind closed doors that's one thing but to let it become so public there's just no way to keep Les now. How can he recruit? What assistants can he hire? He's been mortally wounded in all this.

If you keep him after all this it's officially the biggest clusterfrick in the history of clusterfricks.

There are easily 15-20 coaches at a minimum who could lead us to 8-3 or 9-2 regular seasons every single year. No risk in replacing an overpaid bafoon of a coach.

Bc it'd be a big risk to fire Les for an unknown. Jimbo is a pretty safe bet.

This. They want LSU to fail, they want Miles to be the only coach who can succeed at LSU. They are Miles fans not LSU. Didn't you know there are only about 3 coaches in the world who could be successful here, any other coach lsu will be a disaster lol

Keeping Miles is a risk as well. The AD has made it a much bigger risk in the last few weeks.

Will you "Superfans" cut it out with this dumbass "I just wuuuvvvveeee LSU more than you" narrative.

The situation is simple. Why would you pay 15 million for a successful (yeah, you heard me) coach to leave for an unknown commodity?

So, yeah under the circumstances it is Jimbo or Kelly (or Belichick or Saban or Urban) or bust because anything else is quite frankly monumentally stupid.

Well regardless of other factors, this circus has severely damaged Les Miles' ability to manage the program going forward

I think they've almost irreparably damaged les as a head coach here after all this tbh. If he comes back it's going to be a lot harder to recruit or find assistants because the shadow is always going to loom over him.

Uhh no. You don't fire a successful head coach for a mediocre hire.

What I want to know is........

where are all the so-called "insiders" with all their knowledge of the situation now that there are tweets and comments coming out of the woodwork saying that Fisher isn't coming here. And Miles retaining his position.

There has been a lot of white noise the last week about how this was a "done deal" and now not a one of them are anywhere to be heard from.

Lot of wishful thinkers up in here.
