Wasn't the entire point of this was to see if this works and to have an extremely short leash.

12 Million Dollars... For a coach not wanted by anyone else.

Can anyone rationalize this?

Name one school that would take O as head coach

For a coach that hasn't earned that level of faith.

A 12 million dollar buyout is inexcusable. Who is responsible for that? Alleva? If O doesn't work out both he and Alleva should be fired together.

It really is mind blowing that his buyout at Ole Miss was 900K and somehow he jumped to $12M after a brief interm deal at USC & LSU.

Sounds like an attempt at trying to not look cheap when in reality, LSU already looked cheap with the way they handled the coaching search.

It pretty much assures that he will be the LSU coach for 3 years.

Just enough time to really drag this program down into the gutter, and back to the Dark Ages of the 90s.

i mean one of the things the O defenders told us when he was hired was that the school could cut bait fast if things got bad. once again everyone underestimated alleva

What was O's bargaining chip to get that?
