and yes, I'm well known as someone who was unhappy with his hire.

But. If he does succeed, we will all look back at this game as the turning point.

I really don't feel like UF was that big a deal cause UF sucks and, well, common on. Missed XP.

But, this game, the Tigers really could have completely melted and gotten their doors blown off. Especially as young as they are.

I have no F'n idea how Aranda figured out how to stop the bleeding on defense and frankly, we STILL have problems up front. But, he did it. And, the offense provided just enough fight to let the defense rest even if the offense wasn't putting points up.

The key this year for O is to have the team looking like it's on an upswing so that he doesn't crater in recruiting. If he can do that, maybe he proves me wrong on the hire.

I still find him concerning long term because we're so reliant on the coordinators, but, he's our coach and I'm not getting any younger. I'd prefer he prove me wrong than us go through the 5 or so years it will take to recover if he craters.

I don't think very many LSU fans really wanted O to be hired. But he is the HC, and we need to support him.

It was also huge for recruiting. There was a lot of guys there yesterday and if they get blown out and don't get to see the atmosphere then that's damaging and recruiting could have started it's downward trend right there.

No. What's insane is being an LSU "fan" and not supporting the team just because who you wanted to get the job didn't get it. Piece of shite fan you are

You need to get on board. We have a new coach, are playing 27 true freshmen and RSf, and yesterday we came of age. We are not in the Bama league, but no body is yet. The kids and staff need is 100% behind them.

First of all, I said "asinine", not "insane". Second of all, where on earth do you get the notion that I do not "support the team"?

I still think Orgeron should be replaced as soon as reasonably possible, but I also want LSU to win every game they play. I'd be MORE than happy to be proven wrong about Orgeron.

Lose that game, and 20000 less people on the stands.

And if that happens, arguably lsu wont win yesterday

I'm not sure you can say something is a "big win" just because a loss would have been devastating. By that logic, the Chattanooga win was a huge win too.

He decided to pressure Stidham and hit him hard a few times. Made a lot of difference.

Let's give it some time......one "big" win doesn't necessarily prove anything any more than one big loss is a disaster......they DID look much better after that 1st quarter debacle and might have beaten a lot of teams yesterday.....but....as with any young team, we don't know what to expect from week to week

Hopefully he plays a more aggressive style going forward. Since we are thin on the line we should be more aggressive rather than catching blocks and getting mowed over.

I only think it's insane if it's taken too far. I mean he is the coach so I do support him. But that doesn't mean I have to suspend all judgment. Everybody seems to think it's either or. They seem to think that if you say hiring him was a bad call this means you don't support him but that's silly. You can do both

Where I think it gets taken too far is the people who think support means no criticism. But that's not how Sports works at least not on any team I ever played on. You can bet your arse my coaches let me know anytime my performance was substandard. But I wasn't a child about it. I didn't take it to mean they didn't support me. I just took it for what it was.

You can bet that if orgeron craps the bed the rest of the season I'll say so. But if he pulls off solid performances I will happily Point those out too.

People need to get off this silly idea that you either have to be a cock rider or a permanent negative

Actually is what's insane is thinking that someone doesn't support the team or is not a true fan because they are critical of the coach.
