And there should be a meltdown because keeping him at this point would be a grave mistake...and I'm not referring to his coaching ability. The damage is done...to turn back now would be catastrophic IMO.

if they retain him it will be for a period exceeding 2-3 years, because to only give him another year would be suicide in recruiting, and then there is that chance Les would do something big, like win the SEC, and then say frick you LSU and leave to coach at Alabama.

Retaining Miles for another year is the right move if we cant get Jimbo or Chip or Patterson, etc.

Bigger meltdown would be if we fire Les and we don't have a coach waiting.. Then go on a search and cant find anyone that wants the job and we end up with Joe Smizzazio. Then people will riot over Alleva.
